Job - Social Media Manager

Who We Are

Eastward is new sustainable supply company based in Williston, VT. We’re launching our first men’s apparel collection exclusively online in March 2019. Our focus is to create sustainable goods inspired by the unique weather, terrain and history of Eastern North America, and aim to bring together the outdoor community of our region and beyond. We’re committed to environmental, social, and sustainable pursuits.

We’ve got big plans for the future and over a decade of experience running our other brand, Ski The East. Our combined brand teams work out of the same office with a casual atmosphere and plenty of excellent microbreweries, farm-to-table restaurants, and a giant lake right down the street. Did we mention the beautiful Green Mountains nearby that have some of the best hiking, biking, and skiing in the country?

Who We’re Looking For

Do you have a relevant degree or job experience in social media management? Are you an outgoing, enthusiastic person who is comfortable being a spokesperson for Eastward behind and in front of the camera? We do more than just create sustainable clothing; we’re a voice for the amazing environments, people, and places that make the East Coast unique … can you be the voice, the megaphone, the curator of photo, video, and written content for all those who “Know The Way?”

Are you boundlessly creative with an eye towards brand marketing and messaging? Are you organized, self-driven, and thirsty to learn? Can your copywriting be inspiring, humorous, and motivate action? Can you spell better than the dictionary and wax poetic about natural wonders, wildlife, and history better than Thoreau? Do you truly love the outdoors and the playground of amazing locations that Eastern North America provides?

If you answered yes to these, live (or can relocate to) within daily commuting distance of Williston, VT, and have a reasonably well developed sense of humor, then you just might be the right candidate to help us start this brand off on the right foot. The person in this position will be the Eastward voice on all our social media platforms as well as help organize and attend sporadic events throughout the year.
