We make sustainable goods inspired by the unique weather, terrain, and history of Eastern North America.



It's a big world out there with seemingly unlimited options for manufacturing a particular item. However, Eastward has committed to producing gear to the highest possible standard. We took the slow road over several years to build relationships with suppliers, factories and ethical/environmental accreditors.  

We currently define our code of Environmental and Ethical Accountability as making a product that meets at least 1 of these criteria:


 
The following are ways we've committed to sustainability with our first batch of gear launched in March of 2019:

Shirts
• Fair Trade Certified™ Factory garments
• Fabric is organic cotton and recycled polyester
• No plastic polybags used for individual packaging
• FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified recycled cardboard tee stiffener used for individual "packaging"
• FSC Certified mixed harvest paper hang tag
• FSC paper products printed with soy-based inks

Headwear
• USA manufactured
• FSC Certified mixed harvest paper hang tag
• FSC paper products printed with soy-based inks

Customer Packaging
• Shipping boxes - USA manufactured, made with post-consumer recycled waste, printed with water-based inks
• Order inserts - FSC Certified mixed harvest paper cards
• FSC paper products printed with soy-based inks
